We really like this place. The food is always great. The service is excellent—usually very fast, and the atmosphere is awesome.(The Camarones Mexicanos is incredible)!

I had the Shrimp Chimchore and it was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant! The shrimp were perfectly sauteed in garlic butter—absolutely flavorful and cooked to perfection. What really took it over the top was the creamy chardonnay cilantro pecan sauce—rich, unique, and so satisfying. The dish was beautifully plated with refried beans, fresh avocado, and sour cream. Every bite was a burst of flavor. Highly recommend this dish—and Zapata’s—for anyone looking for something a little special!

Food was very decent - I ordered the birria tacos and they were perfect especially when paired with the sauce as well. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Ballantyne area.

Outstanding food at a good price. Chips were very fresh with a fresh salsa that still had a little crunch to the onions. The jalapeno dip is a little on the spicy but awesome taste. The regular salsa did not have much spiciness, so should be good for most tastes. The Bombay Chimichanga looked super in taste. . The rice, beans, and all other components are very welled layered.

We've been visiting Zapata's as our "go to" for Mexican food in Ballantyne the past few years and are never disappointed. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, the staff is always friendly and nice, and the atmosphere is unique and fun! We're loyal Zapata's fans!

Food was delicious, service was amazing and atmosphere was great too. I am definitely coming back again. The only feedback I have is wish they have more customization options for vegetarian or for other diet restrictions. If you haven't, worth trying.

Being a vegetarian it’s always hard to find options in Mexican restaurant, until I started going here where Bombay Chimichanga has become my go to dish. Satisfying plate, salsas are great to munch on with chips and their fresh guacamole is family favorite. Kids friendly, staff is great. Fast in and out which is a plus even on weekends.
